Procedure Support Tech- Full Time, Operating Room, Athens

Description RESPONSIBLE FOR:
The Procedure Support Tech I performs patient and non-patient functions under the direction of the Registered Professional Nurse.
This job is responsible for performing a range of self-directed support activities that contribute to the overall efficiency of the perioperative area(s).
Work involves inventorying, disassembling, cleaning, reassembling, maintaining operating room equipment, positioning patients, and patient preparation for procedure.
If needed assists with case cart preparation.
Assists in maintaining a clean, sanitary, orderly procedural environment, and transports patients as required.
To function as an integral member of the operating room team and contribute to maintaining a safe, professional, respectful and effective patient care environment.
Requirements MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High school graduate or equivalent.

AHS BLS Certification.
