Serve as the communicator and liaison between the customer and technician; ensuring the customer's needs are understood by the technician and the needed and recommended service/repairs are understood by the customer Verify warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers, explaining provisions and exclusions Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor, calculating customer's payment, including deductibles Prepare repair order by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approval signatures; entering RO into service database system Communicate additional repair and service needs to the customer based on vehicle inspection Administer the manufacturer warranty for qualifying vehicle repairs Confirm and offer resolution to customer concerns Consult with customers on applicable service specials and keep customer informed on completion times and services expenses Set, confirm, and prepare for appointments with customers so they can have a great service experience Meet or exceed targeted sales goals & the targeted customer satisfaction index Greet customers in a friendly manner when they arrive Determine vehicle needs based on customer information and a vehicle walk-around, inspections, and test drives Use a consultative selling process to assist customers in planning for ongoing required maintenance of their vehicle Follow departmental processes, including proper customer handling, tablet utilization, electronic MPIs, history and contact info validation, e-invoicing, RO reviews, status updates by text, email collection, and a superior active delivery process Provide a completely satisfied customer experience If you are committed to providing top-quality automotive service and would like to build a rewarding career as a member of the Athens DCJR Automotive team, contact us immediately!Qualifications/Requirements - Service Advisor / Writer:
2 years of service advisor experience is preferred General knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations is preferred Reynolds and Reynolds experience a plus!
