Description Large Orthopedic practice located in Athens, GA is currently looking for a Finance Director.
Responsibilities include overseeing the accounting department and timely compiling financial reports for the practice.
Works closely with the executive team on day-to-day operations as well as strategic planning.
Qualified candidates should hold a degree in business, finance and/or accounting with 3
years of experience in the medical field.
Must be proficient in MS excel and have experience working with Sage 50 as well as cash and accrual accounting.
NetSuite and Athena experience a plus.
Salary commensurate with experience.

Summary:
The Finance Director will oversee financial & accounting aspects of a large orthopedic medical practice with 300
employees and 12 locations.
Position
Responsibilities:
Include but are not limited to:
Daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reportingOversee/monitor weekly cash disbursements and APReview and post clinic depositsOversee monthly bank reconciliations for multiple checking accountsInteroffice banking transfers and account monitoringBiweekly and monthly payroll postingWork with outside accounting firm(s) on yearly tax returns, 1099's and company financial reviews and audits for internal and external auditsCoordinate requests for financial information for banks and consultantsQuarter bonus calculations for partners, employee doctors & PA'sEnsure all accounting practices meet the highest standard of integrity and comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)Provide accounting and financial related assistance to other departments including revenue cycle and clinical teams Work with CEO on strategic planning & other projects as neededKey Job Requirements/Competencies:
Bachelor's degree in business, finance or accounting3
years' experience in medical fieldExperience with Sage 50 accountingExperience with cash & accrual accountingProficient with MS excelExperience with Athena and NetSuite a plusPossess strong management skills and ability to oversee and manager high financial expectationsStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in fast-paced environment.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
