The purpose of this job is to assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of the electrical systems, equipment and components within unified government buildings. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, installing new wiring, maintaining existing systems, responding to emergencies as needed, and performing additional tasks as assigned.
_Qualified applicants must possess:_ 1. Vocational or technical diploma in related discipline;
2. One year of electrical experience;
3. Or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position;
4. A valid driver's license;
5. Criminal background must indicate eligibility for the supervision of inmates; and
6. Security training for the supervision of inmate workers as set forth by the Georgia Department of Corrections Standard Operating Procedures within six months of date of hire or first available opportunity.

This merit system position requires that the employee satisfactorily complete a probationary period.
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (May have to work on religious holidays.)
