Vehicle Description Up for sale is a very nice, original panel 1974 Super Duty Pontiac Trans Am.
This car has extensive documentation and receipts for everything that has been done to it.
This car still retains the original engine, intake, heads, exhaust manifolds, and carburetor.
The car started out as an automatic, but was converted to a 5 speed Tremec.
It runs and drives incredible! The AC works great, the power windows and door locks work, as does all of the interior lights.
This car was meant to drive and have fun with! All of the panels are original to the car, and as far as I know, it has one repaint.
The car is solid as it can be inside, out, and underneath.
It still has the original iron oxide undercoating - see underside pictures.
The only modifications to the car have been the upgraded transmission, the axle ratio was changed from a 3.
08 posi to a 3.
42 posi, and the rear brakes have been converted from drum to disc.
The camshaft has been changed as well to get it back to the performance it was meant to have had before the EPA made Pontiac change the camshaft out of the original design.
This car is an excellent driver - starts, stops, and handles well.
It cruises in 5th gear at about 1800 rpm's at 65mph.
It is hard to find these cars at all, let alone one that has had some mild performance upgrades to make it even more enjoyable.
